Description

SARATOGA AMERICAN MOUNTING FOAM 500ML

Ideal for building materials and for solid, uniform, regular and non-shrinking materials such as: panels (e.g. plasterboard, OSB, plywood), decorative elements and coverings, skirting boards and mouldings, stair covers and window sills, small partition walls (calibrated blocks) and corner profiles, etc.
It adheres to substrates such as concrete, gas concrete, mineral wool, wood and derivatives, expanded or extruded materials (e.g. polystyrene), PVC, aluminum, etc. It does not require primer and achieves high functional resistance in just a few minutes.

ADVANTAGES
Assembly Foam with enhanced initial tack – very strong initial hold just 1 minute after dispensing the product.

APPLICATION METHOD AND INSTRUCTIONS
Apply to clean, degreased, compact, smooth surfaces free from loose particles.
Shake the can vigorously before each use.
Use gloves inserted into the cylinder cap to avoid contact with the skin.
screw the adapter onto the valve nozzle, avoiding pressing, so as not to activate the valve,
For optimal performance, a can temperature of +18 to +22°C is ideal. Use upside down. Do not wet the surfaces or the foam adhesive.
For panel installation: sand any particularly oily surfaces; apply a 2-3 cm bead of adhesive around the perimeter of the panel; maintain a distance of approximately 4-5 cm from the edges and finish the application by extruding in a zigzag pattern. Wait approximately 60 seconds, then press the panel firmly against the wall. The adhesive should cover more than 5% of the bonding surface. Initial tack is further increased by working in "stick-peel" mode, i.e., removing and reapplying the object during the repositioning time (but no later than 4-5 minutes). Use a level to ensure flatness.
For gluing steps and window sills: Depending on the width, apply 2-3 parallel strips of approximately 2 cm in diameter along the horizontal sides (10-15 cm apart). Wait approximately 60 seconds, then press firmly.
For moldings: apply a continuous bead 2-3 cm in diameter halfway along the molding. Wait about 60 seconds, then press firmly.
For decorative elements (such as polystyrene rosettes): the adhesive must cover at least 50% of the bonding surface; apply in small beads or dots. Wait about 60 seconds, then press firmly. The initial tack is further increased by working in "stick-and-peel" mode, that is, removing and reapplying the object during the repositioning time (in any case within 4-5 minutes).
For blocks and partition walls: the first layer of blocks can only be laid on completely level and uniform material. For perforated, ground blocks, maintain a large bead in the center, at least 4-5 cm in diameter. For non-perforated, ground blocks (such as aerated concrete, aerated concrete, autoclaved concrete, or gas concrete), the bead diameter can be reduced to 2 cm. Maintain a distance of approximately 4-5 cm from the edges, and for cross-sections > 15 cm, apply two bead beads.
Fresh foam adhesive can be cleaned with acetone. Once hardened, it can be removed with a razor blade.
