SARATOGA SILICONE WOODPARQUET

Saratoga Legno e Parquet is a single-component, hard-elastic, water-dispersed acrylic sealant specifically designed for sealing parquet and wooden surfaces.

Saratoga Legno e Parquet is used for sealing parquet and wooden surfaces, casings, window frames, baseboards, and cracks and crevices in furniture and masonry. It also has excellent adhesion to wood, masonry, and plaster and can also be used as an adhesive for installing parquet, paneling, and baseboards. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it has excellent weather resistance.

Parquet floors can be sanded after just 18-24 hours at 23°C and 50% relative humidity; sanding time may increase at lower temperatures and higher relative humidity.

In the case of the following applications, the use of Saratoga SILICONE is recommended

NEUTRAL SEALANT:
• On unpainted metal surfaces.
• In joints constantly immersed in water.
• In joints with working movement greater than 7%.

Wood and Parquet Sealer is a high-quality acrylic sealant that can be sanded, polished and overpainted (just 30 minutes after application) with all common parquet paints, with tempera and acrylic paints, both water-based and solvent-based.

For interior and exterior use, it has excellent resistance to atmospheric agents.

Wood and Parquet Sealer is available in a wide range of colors that perfectly match the various types of wood used on the market.

• Wood and Parquet Sealer is applied to compact, clean surfaces, free from dust and grease.
• Prepare the surface to be treated and apply the masking tape for profiling the edges (remember to remove immediately after applying the sealant).
• Apply insulating material (adhesive tape) to the bottom of the joint: if the joint is deep, fill with filling material (Saratoga Joint Filler or foam plastic).
• Cut the nozzle to the desired diameter.
• It is extruded with a manual or compressed air gun.
• For laying parquet and skirting boards, it is recommended to apply the product in dots, while on beading in strips or in an "X" shape.
• The applied sealant must be protected from rain or water in general, immediately after application, for 2 hours in a warm environment, and for at least 24 hours if applied in a cold environment.

Immediate cleaning with water; once hardened, it can be removed with a razor blade.

It is not recommended for use on bituminous surfaces, on unpainted metal surfaces and in joints constantly immersed in water.

WAREHOUSING

The product is stable in the warehouse in unopened original containers, at 20/25°C for 24 months from the production date.

He fears the frost.

PRIMER

WOOD AND PARQUET SEALANT generally does not require primer on wood
In the case of porous surfaces, we recommend treating them beforehand with WOOD AND PARQUET SEALANT diluted in water in the ratio: 1 part product and 2 parts water.
